WAWA trip -Western Australia Wildflowers Adventure , part 1

2 september 2015 - Singapore - Perth
I only know about the wild flowers when I was planning my perth trip last year.  As we had already bought our air tickerts, nothing could be change. We came in october where i really missed the wild flowers, though i had seen some, i really love to see more of their beauties.  hence, this year I am back.

Luckily, budget airline make it more comfortable for us to fly more and fly further. and with the hostels and airbnb, it become even more affordable.

our airport is always so beautiful

relaxing at the lounge before our flight

our new project is on  the way!

A pleasant surprise that we were upgraded to first class seats with some bidding. The seat is definitely more comfortable. I love how the window screen can be laminated with the press of just a button.
And how often when seated in a  plane , I got to see the front of the propeller, and it's behind! Isn't it fun?! No wings blocking my view!

love this window

We collectd our rental car, buy pre-paid simcard, check-into our stay. have our dinner nearby and buy groceries for our next 2 days stay at Kojonup.

UPs : A smooth journey with new experience on board.

3rd september 2015  Perth to Kojonup
Today our wildflowers adventure shall starts from  Kings Park and Botanical Gardens. As we are driving all the way to Kojonup with one or two stops in between. We keep only 2 hours for the garden, if it's good, we can come again in our return to Perth.

I think we are a bit early for most flowers, some area is quite moody. We got to see the Geraldton wax, they are beautiful.

                                                                   Kangaroo's paw

( i will load the pictures later as i have some problems with my sd card)
*Hmmm... I lost those photos somehow, I should have them again when we return to Perth later.

We detour to James street to 'ta pau' (packed) some dim sum to enjoy on our way.
There are quite a few chinese restaurant around this area. Everyone has their favourite. We had the harkow (prawns dumplings) which is filled with big , crunchy prawns. The other is the fried octopus tentacles, really yummy. and of course the steam pheonix claws (chicken feet). Yum yum.

After  or almost at Crossman, the views of the Canola fields view is fantastic, like fields of gold!
Some larger ones were so majestic, it just enlighten our journey.

                                                                      Canola fields

We stop at Williams for lunch then proceed to Boscabel chittnup road, but wildflowers are not seen yet. A little disappointed. Hence, we head straight to kojonup.
We checked into our stay at Kojonup Caravan Park. Hmmm... It looks a bit quiet or may be most people are out in their adventure.
We choose to stay in the van.   it's from the 1970s. We are pretty excited about the stay, it's our first experience.
Then, we started with a broken down table, then a blackout. Fortunately, they were solved quite quickly.
We brought our own bedsheets but it's a bit sad pillows were not provided, I thought it should be the minimum requirements. Anyway, .... the owner is quite friendly though. Later, we learn that he is expecting a new grandchild on the way. Congratulation.!

There were cooking utensils, but it really looks too dirty to use, but the plates can be easily washed for use. the fridge come very useful to store our food and keep some cold drinks.

We preferred to cook in the main/shared kitchen which is much cleaner and comfortable. and I love the long table. Today's sunset was really pretty, very orange but we were busy with our cooking and didn't have the camera with us. Next time, I should always keep my camera with me.

first time cooking dinner with microwave!

Most people choose to cook outside their van or so, and we have the whole kitchen to ourselves!

UPs : Canola fields view was really fantastic, enjoy Kings Park, enjoy our DimSum, saw a beautiful sunset, really so golden orangee.....but no camera!
DOWNS : this morning, we visited the wrong visitor center, the one is only for the univercity at Perth.

After a long day, we plan to sleep early. It is quite difficult to control the heater, it seem too hot then it become too cold. Anyway, without a pillow its really uncomfortable. we folded some clothes to act as one.

with our prepaid sim-card, we could still watched some of our favourite program and watsapp our children.

not forgetting a little bites for our evening ........:)

Another happy day!
