Our cruise arrived Langkawi about 7am and depart at 2pm. we were have a couple of hours here. We had planned to go for the cable car, or rather the sky cab to experience the sky bridge.
We booked our transport with Uber. It cost us RM$15 but we need to wait about 12 minutes for the car to pick us. The port is quite far from town. It was precisely lovely to have Uber and the little wait was just fine. We arrived comfortably at our destination just in time. As our car wind up we noticed there were monkeys around the area.
SkyDome |
There are quite a lot of other activities and souvenirs shops at the base, but we go straight for the sky cab. As it was early, the crowd is small and the wait for the skycab is fast. It is always advisable to visit such places early in the morning. The crowd is always smaller, saving the waiting time. Secondly , the weather is cooler in the morning too.
the skycab ticket is RM$55 per person (tourist)
We only realised that there is a VIP cab too, but not sure the cost.
**Do check the operation timing before you go.
This is the steepest cable car on earth and 708m above sea level. It go up to Langakawi's 2nd highest peak of Mt. Mat Cincang..
We felt pretty warm in the car as it ascend, the little windows were opened but no cool air seem to be coming in. There were 6 of us in the car.

We took the skyglide to the Skybridge. It like less than 2 minutes. You can opt to walk down. I was hoping to walk the stairs beside the Skyslide :)) But it's for maintenance usage only , of course.
top of the pylon |
The skybridge is a curved and is suspended from a 82m high SINGLE pylon! The engineering safety factor must be very high and really wondered how they built it.
see the single pylon? all the way down
The view from the curved bridge is beautiful on a clear day. We experienced a few minutes of misty clouds and see nothing.

There are quite a number of viewing platforms to enjoy too.
Love locks |
I think they should colored the edge of the stair. it is more visible for the visitors, especially the older ones. |
wonder how these locks end up in the restricted area? Hmmmm..... |
caught you! |
When it gets misty, view get missing |
one or two waterfall far away |
going back to the base

Bye bye Langakwi! hope to see you soon.
