Owl Travel pillow

I do have a few travel pillows, infact I have two very adorable owl travel pillows. One allows me to connect to phone to listen to music, but it is heavy to carry. The other one is soft but i feel that it is too small. A pillow is actually the best, then it too big.

Well, all these are excuses . I am keen to sew one for myself. I did a simple one and tried for my trip to Genting. Love it, now I am just transforming it to my favourite owl.

  1. I use a normal pillow, removed it's filling. I keep the zip intact.
  2. Pin and sew the width I felt most comfortable. Cut out the extra.
  3. with that extra, fold one corner, drew the "Ears" , sew, fill it. attached to the main part
  4. sew the three sides, fill it, test the right puffness . zip up. that's it.

PILLOW CASE COVER

  1. I am not good in sewing, hence I put the pillow over the cloth to mark the size for the case.
  2. The material I use really 'flairs" alot. Fornutanely, I have a little helper to vacuum them .
  3. Using the zig-zag stitch to sew all edges

this is the owl face I would love to sew.
hopefully my end product is similiar, if not better

This is what I did in a morning. I used some cloth glue to glue the edges, hopefully after wash it will stay.

Done!
