I was hoping to draw one item that I love or impressed at each place I visited during my trip in Japan.
Day 1 Singapore Changi Airport : our national flower , Vanda Miss Jaoquim
picture : Orchid
Day 2 Tokyo station: very impressed the way they handle the cleanliness of the train and feel proud of their job.
The attendants wear a cap, each has a different flower attached. In one case, they actually came out to queue in a line after cleaning the train and bow at the waiting commuters!

Day 2 . Hakodate -Lucky Pierrot : love the burger, really delicious!
The bread is topped with lots of fragrant sesame and it's softness adds it's tenderness. The chicken just well done with the sauce, though a little sweet but pair well with the unselfish lots of crunchy veggies. Three or even four layers of flavours at each bite. Hmmmmm yummilicious!!!

Day 3 Noboribetsu - River Oyunuma Natural Footbath - foot soak in the natural surroundings is an amazing experience. 日本登别市的足浴
picture : foot
Day 4 Biei, experienced a local onsen. the oba was really nice. Though she doesn't speak a single word of English, she taught me how to use the onsen with action. I had brought only one big towel and she offer me a small towel for cleaning and her soap too. Later, oba had also left a pink plastic sheet for me to keep my wet towel. I am really touch by her kindness and thoughtfulness. hearts, many hearts of kindness and love. Thank you.

Day 5 Otaru - Mt. Tengu. I had been looking forward to try this slide since I had read about it. The experience is adventurous for me though a young kid can easily do it.
picture : me with the helmet
Day 5 Sapporo : visited my first owl cafe. had a really wonderful time.spent almost 3 hours!
(I think I scared the worker there, though they have no time limit)
picture : owl
Day 6 . Hon-Hachinohe station - a Ramen stall at the station. delicious and friendly service.
(it's a pity they closed at 6pm, I missed it by 5mins the next day)
picture : a bowl of ramen
Day 7 . Lake Towada - Oirase stream. I enjoyed my strolled from Ishigedo to choshi-otaki from 1000 - 1230pm
picture ; stream
Day 8 Juniko - to visit Aoike pond
The pond is lovely, but my new friendship with 3 girls I met onboard is really cute. Four of us , two from Guang Zhou, one from Hong Kong and me from Singapore. We spoke cantonese, three maps and two googles. We were totally lost in our hike. We almost reached the tip a transmitor! Dead end. Each intersection , we seem to have a different 'correct' direction, but almost ialways wrong. Trekking in the midst of the rain with the sound of crisp dried leaves and a little nagging made my journey really fun, fear and full-filling in a way or other.
Day 9 , Meeting the hubby today at Tokyo station was a little challenge,. the best thing was the visit my next owl cafe!!! Playing with the owls are really fun. wished we could have have stayed longer if not for us to catch our train to Nikko
picture : owl
Day 10 Nikko - we planned to visit Ryuzu falls, Chuzenji etc., After we visited our first spot at the Shinko bridge, we actually strolled along the the bank of the Daiya river til we arrived Kanmangafuchi Abyss and further. We were totally engrossed in this walk where most of the time there were only two of us . We only met some travellors at Kanmangafuchi Abyss.
picture : rocky waves at the river
Day 11 , Yudanaka - Jigokudani wild monkey park, I love the walk towards the monkey park. It wasn't a busy day. The air was crisp though it had a little drizzle earlier. There was a sweet smell in the air with the occasion gentle dancing of the leaves was just perfect. Faraway it looks really misty and cloudy, I felt like walking into a comic book , ready for a new adventure.!!! May be I was warrior before????
(feel like dancing at some point too)
picture : tall thin trees with some dancing leaves
Day 12, To visit Mt. Fuji at Kowakinadi. Stayed at Hakone Hotel Kowakienuw. rain the whole day.
We had a few good dip at the Yunessun. The onsen has red wine, green tea, coffee and various dip to enjoy. Our stay included the buffet dinner which serve huge crabs, which was the best after a tiring day.
weather : drizzle whole day
picture : half crab
Day 13 Lovely morning outdoor onsen at the hotel. There were only a few of us dipped in the onsen watching the drizzle that never seem to stop. I had bundle my hair and place the small towel over my head too. (guess this way I won't mix up my towel?) Didn't read the temperature, but hot enough to stay for about 25 minutes or so. ( wished I had spent longer time here if only we know the rains never stop)
weather : drizzle whole day
picture : myself in the onsen with a towel and the beautiful view
Day 14 , Kazuya-bash
At Oboke station, we met another kind taxi driver who told us about the bus schedule. He even checked the returned timing for us.
The walk across the bridge was really quite scary for me. If not for the hubby, I am not sure if I could managed it alone. I didn't dare let go my hand hence didn't take any photo on the bridge, but enjoyed the crossing totally. giving myself a thumb up!!
weather : drizzle on and off
picture : the bridge
Day 14, The bbq fish was tasty. we tried 2 flavours, I preferred the one sprinkle with salt than the one with pepper. Hmmm.... wouldn't it taste better if they sprinkle both?? We were seated beside to the waterfall that made the whole scenario more romatic. I am just loving it.
picture : the fish poked with a bamboo
When we returned to Kyoto station. We had this black pig Shabu shabu. It's really great to eat shabu shabu in a really cold weather
picture : shabu shabu pot
Day 15 Inari - thousands of Inari.
weather : drizzle on and off

This day we actually got to meet our son who happaned to come Japan for some meeting.
weather : drizzle on and off

Day 15 Taking the loop train to JR Namba (with our pass)

Day 15, Dotonburi - huge signs everywhere
picture : octopus
Day 16 Saga-Arashiyama
weather : drizzle
picture : Arashiyama
Day 16 Owl cafe at Arashiyama area

Day 17 was much of a shopping day.
Day 18 flying home. The forecast that there will be a typhoon was quite worrying. I wished the typhoon don't come early, rather do not come at all, please. That morning the airport was really very very busy. Though we had planned to arrive early to enjoy some food, we were almost just in time for our flight. Squeezing some time for a little more souvenirs shopping. Our flight was delayed almost an hour. I could feel the anxiousness in most of us had while waiting in the plane. Fortunately, all was fine and we returned home safely.
HOME SWEET HOME
