It's time to discover Gardens by the bay again, I am sure something is up. Without checking its schedule , I proceeded to one of my favorite place. Now, it is even more convenient for me as the downtown line (blue line) has started operating. I have a few options to reach Gardens by the bay, by express bus, East-west line (green line)and north-south line (red line) and of course by taxi too.
As usual, I will strolled around the gardens before I proceed to the Flower dome. The sky looked overcast but I am determined to do my walk. The most beautiful thing happened just I walked past the tram area. A few tourists were resting at a corner
The man : " I think . . . Singapore is really remarkable!!"
his friend " Oh, yes, I agreed."
It's such a wonderful thing to hear people loving your country. This makes a great start for my day.

I discovered a 'ofo' bicycle and unlocked it immediately, the sky seem darker now but that didn't deter my eagerness to ride around. So off I go towards Marina barrage. The road are well parted for pedestrians and bicycle/vehicle but nobody seem to care. I smiled to myself as the cool winds blow onto my face. Lovely! I was excited to cycle alone, I am not sure how good I can handle it, especially with my DSLR is hang over my neck. No, not I can't cycle, but a fall when I was younger had really cast a fear inside me all this years.
Long long ago
That faithful morning, I refreshed riding a bicycle. My senior taught me and I thought it was easy as I was riding quite quickly. We were going to be riding round Singapore! (I had no idea where we went, all the time I was concentrating on following someone ahead) . Well, on my first 5 minutes I almost had an accident with a van. I remembered the driver came out and looked very worried but I ensured him I was fine. That happened in a round-about.(we hardly has any round about now. one at Newton) The rest of the journey was fun and very exciting. My seniors really take good care of me, guiding me all the time. . . . we reached some place where there was a slope, hilly place. I saw some ride down, easily, so I (stupidly) followed. My bicycle was going real fast, I got worried, I didn't know what to do but I was balancing well. I screamed " Hey, I'm coming!!! watch out!!!! siam!!!!" I saw some seniors ahead. then someone say " Margaret, pressed the brake" "right one" "left one!" "which one?!" The next moment I was flying off my bike and landed face down. I couldn't opened my eyes because there were sands around them, but I could feel my seniors around me, panic."Margaret, you ok?" "can you hear me?" "can you move?" "where is hurt?" . . . . .the questions never stopped. I cleared away the sand, opened my eyes and said, smiling "heh? I am ok leh. I can. Let's continue. where's my bicycle?" Then our big leader (very senior) "what bicycle? You are not riding any more. get into my motorbike after your first aid." everyone nodded. I followed. I felt a bit disappointed that I couldn't finished riding for the rest of the journey.. The motorbike has this square carriage and I had to sit inside, feeling stupid like a little girl with a helmet. (but it's quite fun actually)
I only noticed my injury when we returned to our Institute. Omg! I had a big bruise right in the center of my forehead.! Each on my arms and my legs. I laughed at myself that I looked so 'cartoon'. This seem to scare them and they insisted I consult a doctor immediately. hahaha. For the rest of my season in school, I had to used my fringe to cover my forehead and long jeans throughout. The only bruises I could not hide were the bruises on both my arms, at the angle. Some good fellow schoolmates were even concerned. BUT my scare came only afterwards.
This is one of my favorite club :- Outdoor Activities Club.
This time I ride slow and handle well. The rain started as I arrived the Marina barrage, I waited a while and ride back in the mist of ................ to the Flower dome. It was only a short ride, but I am loving it.
So the "Poinsettia Wishes Floral Display" will be from 10nov to 8Jan 2017. I was 2 days earlier. Still the Flower dome is beautiful.
my girl will love this |
I noticed the the rain has stopped, hence I tried my luck to retrieve the same bicycle. Luck is on my side! This time I arrived at Marina Bay Sands Lotus pond. how wonderful. hmmmmm hope to cycle more. :)
