There is a great promotion now. For RM$87 , we could visit 6 museums and a cat cafe within a month . After visiting 3 places, we are also offer a free Room Escape. I think it's a good bargain though it wasn't in our plan to visit all. We can always change our plan, we are very flexible!
We had a great time in Trick Eye Museum. We were early and enjoyed the whole place by ourselves. The staffs are very friendly at every stage and help us with the photo taking too.
In the old days, the trishaw man has to pull and run bare footed. Life was really tough. We are much fortunate nowadays.
When I was a little girl in the 1970s, I used to take trishaw to school too. Those times, trishaw uncle has a bicycle attached to the side. He put a plunk across the seat and the front, so he could take 4-5 kids. On a hot day, we normally wear hats, but on rainy days, we were covered with plastic . It was very stuffy and we had to hold the plastic too, Then again, it was fun when the rain tic tic tac tac over our heads. Occassionally, when the wind is strong , we could got wet too! At times, the little flood on the road may flashed onto us. Those were the good old days.
This is "gollie" game. They are little balls mad of glass. There were different ways to play them. In general, one will try to hit the other to win or something alike. Sometimes, they challenged to roll it into a small hole, other times hey may played in team.
In my old place, I remembered the loser will have to 'kok kok bei" the winner and walk or run a round. Most time, they will fall, then we all had a good laugh. Watching them was fun too. All boys played this.

I was not allowed to play this.

It's really worth a visit here. thumbs up!
We walked out to Lebuh Light and took the free bus to our next destination. About 2-3 stops away. (asked the locals : the famous chendol stalls). When you alight, walked in the same direction where the bus goes. We passed by shops selling clothes and nicknags. then a chinese pastry shop. STOP. turn left, a little lane has a small coffee stall popular for its nasi lemak. We discovered it occidently. Hence we tried it too. It's a very small packet. They have bread toast and eggs too.(noticed some eating )

two famous Chendol, one sweet, another a little saltish it's a short while when crowd stat Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendol
the "saltish' chendol stall
I had always patronised from the sweeter one. I like the thick coconut milk but find it too sweet. I would asked for more ice. This is the first time I tried the other one and I love it too, a little saltish would "trick" you to have more. I enjoyed both. They are so near (opposite each other) and for so many years. Harmony is beautiful.
My favourite fried kway teow man is off today. My other blog showed him. We tried the one at the coffee shop. I think it has too much ingredients and we hardly find the keow teow.(thin white noodles). The chendol man told me the other stall is off today.
