With my Japan Rail Pass , I am able to enjoy the bus trip to Towadako (十和田湖 ) free. It's a huge bonus for me! It is about 3000¥ for a returned trip.
exit from Hachinohe station, turn left, walked down the stairs where it opens to a huge carpark. I did a few wrong turn when a kind student guided me wrongly. the other guided me to the other end of the station. Anyway, don't expect a shelter bustop, look for the standing signs.(there are quite a numbers around) I was the first person in the queue and made a good marker for the other who came later.

Our bus passed by the Towada Art Centre, this is one of Yayoi Kusama 's work piece. . .
We were very fortunate, she came to Singapore for her exhibition in 2017 too
(That's how I learned about her great works)

Once I started, no map is needed. The route is pretty clear and quite busy too. This trail is so easy, yet really intriguing. The rains that came on and off added melody to this walk.

It was so fascinating and enjoyable that I almost forgot about my timing.! I planned to catch the 1330 hrs bus from Nenokuchi to Towadako. Spent some time in Towakado, then take the last bus 1520 back to Hachinohe. I have not even reach Chosi-Otaki!!! OMG!! I had to ran the last 1/2km or so to arrive Chosi-Otaki to catch the next bus to Towadako. Lucky for me the bus was late for some reason, else I may be in a little trouble .
💖While I was running, a nice Japanese uncle halt me to slow down as the ground is wet and could be slippery. I remembered his white hair and tidy attire. I don't understand him but guessed from his kind gesture. "Arigato gozaimasu, Ojisan!"
🌟It's good to plan a night stay here to absorb the beauty totally but I needed to catch an early train Juniko the next day. ( I had booked a night here but unwillingly cancelled it)
💖I must mentioned here, during my walk I met 2 Hong Kong ladies travellers, we had a short conversation and shared our itinery. They saw me at the bus stop and thought that I was at the wrong bus stop, and come forward to inform me. Am I glad glad to meet good samaritans. "Thank you, sisters."
This stop is quite hidden at a turn, you may not see it easily.
The bus was later than the specific time, but all is fine. I have some time at Towadako and a good hot lunch. I caught my last bus (1520) back to Hachinohe.(arriving 1735)
